Even though we had hundreds of reasons just to stay in Newport and plenty of things to do there, we still wanted to explore new towns around so we decided to visit Provincetown Cape Cod. Our first stop was at Nauset Light (You know I have a thing with Lighthouses and every time I get the chance, I visit one). Nauset Light, officially Nauset Beach Light, is a restored lighthouse on the Cape Cod National Seashore near Eastham, Massachusetts, erected in 1923 using the 1877 tower that was moved here from the Chatham Light (Wikipedia knows better :).
Here are some photos from there and as usual, Noah is very hard to cath in the photos and when we "corrupt him" he will make lots of silly faces. At least Caroline is more pleasant and likes to take photos with mama, or so we want to think ...
Next post is from the streets of Provincetown.

Bold colors on coats are my key pieces during the cold season because let's face it, it is all about the COATS in the Winter- beginning of Spring. This one is an oldie but the color is very special to me -warm yellow- as you can't easily find something like this or better said not on a friendly budget. As usual, vintage shops are my salvation and this cashmere coat is still a great find that I treasure, and I wear it every year.
Her's another color combination that showcases this lovely coat and probably the last one until next cold season!

Making the most of these Winter days and wearing all my favorite coats one by one until I put them away for the next season. I am excited to welcome floral dresses and light layers in my wardrobe so probably that's why today's outfit is so bright and Springy mood colors. Hopefully not so long until Spring!

A trip to NY always brings a little bit of joy, even if this time it was a short one and probably the last one until the baby arrives. It was a warm (70F) wonderful day despite the snow that we had a few days earlier, so I was pleased not to have to wear so many layers, at least not on this trip. Here are some shots from that day with the outfit I wore.
Until next time NY! I am sure it is going to be a Spring/ Summer day when I will see you again!

If I have to wear GREY in combination with every color, I will do it. My most favorite mixes are Grey- Camel, Grey - White, Grey - Yellow and so on. Today I'm adding another combination to my list: Grey - Navy!

It is a subtle one, classy and once again I chose to wear a sweater dress while in Philadelphia. This cashmere turtleneck dress is from Kinross Cashmere and it's a very comfortable one!

Voila!

A New York trip around Christmas time is mandatory (another tradition in our family for more than 10 years). Now with Noah and second baby on the way we know that we don't want to stop here. NY is magical as always! Even if it is cold (and it was) all the lights, the music on the streets and shops, all the window decorations and the tempting and well needed hot chocolate cups makes you forgot (at least for a couple of hours) about the cold. The City is totally transformed and you can't think of something else. Pure Joy!
Here are some photos from last week!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas surrounded by the loved ones!

This yellow coat is the perfect Fall- Winter coat that you can dream of if you like bright colors in the cold season. Also, the right pop of color on this cabin scenery, still, I wasn't the only one with "yellow fever' on that day :) Noah had his newly restored antique tricycle (restored entirely by Bogdan), and on that morning he "tried "to take some rides. So here are some moments captured by Bogdan on that day!

A well-deserved getaway has happened last week when we went for a few days to the newly opened Lokal A-frame Cabin in Dorchester NJ. Located in the middle of nowhere, this is all you need to enjoy some relaxing time with friends and family away from the city and still have all the comfort of home.

Once again Stay Lokal owners did a wonderful job with this second location and has created the perfect, comfortable "home away from home" place to relax. The mix of modern details and rustic touches is the perfect combination of a cabin these days. It definitely makes us want to come back soon to experience more peaceful moments ...
Starting today I will share a few posts, and this is one of them.

A "Camel everything" outfit is mandatory every Autumn and probably I will try this monochrome combination more than once this Fall-Winter season because it is a FAVORITE for sure! Today's look is a casual one where flats were involved. Turtleneck cashmere sweater - an essential piece for cold days, cropped pants and this Vintage cashmere coat that is not new to you. This Ralph Lauren tote bag is another essential piece (all year long) so the look is complete!

SHOP BASKET BAGS

Right before the snow storm hit the state, we had a very warm 60-degree day, a good reason to spend the day in Philadelphia. I dressed easy and casual in camel, black, with pops of green here and there. I do love the green color on everything, especially a dark green shade as my Marni shoes. Now, I added to my "green things to love collection" this Portuguese handmade reed and willow basket bag from incredibly talented Toino Abel.
I love so many aspects about this bag: the traditional motifs, the shape/size proportions, the colors, and last but not least the well-made craftsmanship.
It is nice finding different and qualitative pieces like this basket and it is my pleasure to support artist and artisans from around the world, by bringing them to your attention (I need to mention that this is not a sponsored post) is just that I decided to do that more often (even though I started for a while), I will be more open about this aspect.
We all need to make a difference & to different ourselves from the crowd...
