It’s a bittersweet feeling that summer it’s coming soon to the end and even sooner Noah is starting kindergarten (on zoom, let’s see how this will work). We are trying to enjoy these last long days together, with all kind of activities. Last week we gathered in the garden on the couch hoping I can take some photos with Noah and Caroline, something special (the way I envisioned)... I ended up only having separate photos with each of them and our friend's dog (not planned but why not).
You know I will use any excuse to get dressed up and this time I really went high wearing this blue and white Mestiza New York gown. I don’t need special occasions to wear such a dress, I create one, everyday If needed!

Also, I want to thank Mestiza New York for featuring me on their Tastemaker Tuesday series Here, where you can read a quick Q&A about the beginning of my blog and motherhood, all together.

We had a warmer day recently and I got to take photos in the nature wearing this beautiful peach delight print from Lia Cohen, a very wismistical piece to own. The colors popped out wonderfully against this wintery backdrop and as little as you see me without sunglasses, today I am in full display, letting my favorite accessories at home. Since I didn't wear a coat, I used instead a cashmere wrap tucked under a belt and I think this layer made the entire look a little bit more rich and cozy. The basket bag somehow matched the look (because of its wonderful colors) so it was a great addition along with the wool hat.
For me, countryside dreams are made of these and I would love to go back soon and take more photos like these, if possible with Caroline.

One last post from Asbury Park is here, and it is from our walk to the beach. As I mentioned in my first post Here, our stay with Harlow Grey Homes is so very close to the beach (10 minute walk), so in one afternoon we decided to go.
As expected the beach was empty, as it is out of season. It was windy but the sun came out and it felt really good. Here are the photos from that day!

Two weeks ago we packed and went on a mini getaway in Asbury Park NJ with Harlow Grey Homes. If the name sounds familiar, yes, you are right, we have stayed with them in the past (You can see more Here).

If the first time it was a glasshouse with a view by the lake, then this time it’s all about a beach house with a pool view :). You can find all the informations about  this 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms house Here.
After staying with Harlow Grey Homes in two different locations, here are some informational facts:

First of all, everything is sparkly clean and you can notice right away the quality of the product used to decorate the house.
They are up to date with everything:
- Electronics (I love, love the SONO system, you can hear music in the entire house and on the terrace). Plus Bogdan and the kids enjoyed the projector every day watching movies, especially the animated movies for kids.
- Toys (super fun for kids) in case you don't bring your own or you need more! Also for kids, they have The Safety Turtle- a personal immersion detector while on the property. The kids must wear the wristband in order for the alarm to work.
- The pantry/ kitchen is always stacked (with everything).
- Washer and dryer, very useful especially at a beach house.
- All the touches that make you feel at home instead of a hotel: books, fashion albums, great art and photography on the walls, all kind of games, great products for bath and home diffusers (I especially love the Aqua dell Elba home diffuser, and the Garrison+Home hand soap). Speaking of soap, Meyer’s dish soap is there too (they have a dishwasher but I personally enjoy washing dishes).
- The open space layout of the house on the first floor is great for entertaining and plenty of room for kids to play.
- Ok, this is GREAT, on both properties we’ve visited they have a POOL, and a bonus: is heated. Did I mention the hot tub? It is there too!
- Outside the property: 10-minute walk and you are at the beach! Also, they provide beach toys, towels, umbrella, chairs, beach badges, you name it they have it...
Information about everything around. Where to: Coffee & Breakfast / Workout / Groceries, Deli/ Play / Restaurants/ Pharmacies & Urgent care.
With these being said here is the first round of photos from our stay and stay tuned for part II.

When you say "Maine" among others you say "Lighthouses"
Here's the second one we visited and took photos: Portland Head Light, also known as the Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse. For me, the beauty of this lighthouse is the location. It sits on top of a rocky cliff at Casco Bay and I went a bit further to take these photos so we can capture the entire panoramic/ epicc coastal scene.
I could have chosen to wear jeans and a sweater BUT you know me by now, so I chose to wear nothing less than a red maxi shirt dress, boots and a shawl ...
This iconic beam was the inspiration for Henry Wadsworth's poem "The Lighthouse" and I was inspired to create a picturesque scene.

We couldn’t miss the opportunity to spend a day on the beach this trip, so here I am on Saint Elizabeth beach with my family. A sunny morning with perfect temperatures, not hot, but not too cold either, exactly like a spring day weather. We had a long walk on the beach, visited the lighthouse and ate a snack with a side of (mandatory) ice cream. My most favorite outfits for the beach are the ones that are predominantly white. Today’s look is no exception, and for that I particularly chose to wear Kinross Cashmere who’s my go-to destination for cozy, well made, luxury garments! Their resort collection is inspired from the serenity of the sea, and the current color pallet includes fresh blues and mint shades, as well as soft earthy neutral hues. I chose a burst of color too! This geo print scarf in crystal multi is the perfect finishing touch for a beach look. Sun, sand, the ocean breeze and the perfect cozy layered look, all together made my day with the loved ones just perfect!

Brown and White -the classic duo worn in a casual way. Classic timeless pieces are worth the investment and always a priority in my wishlist.
Here are 3 items that instantly will make your look chic without trying too hard and keep you warm in the cold days.
1. Brown/ Camel coat - a classic piece for many years to come! I prefer a long oversize design, I found most of my coats in the vintage shops.
2. A turtleneck sweater - preferable cashmere in a neutral color.
3. As for accessories: A basket bag and a travel wrap to keep you warm.
Voila! Simple, classic and practical!

A checked coat in earthy tones is a lovely addition to your Winter wardrobe. This one is not new, it's an old vintage find of mine which I haven't worn in over 2 years, so here it is making a comeback. Everything is toned down and I love it this way.

After 7 years of documenting my shots (blogging), I am still looking forward to discovering new places, new locations to shoot (lifestyle or editorials like). For a long time, I had on my list a windmill, and here in Newport, I found one (and still looking for more because I am not done with them). We were lucky enough to visit the inside too and learn about it. It was a tiny but lovely one to start with :)

Our getaway almost comes to its end, one more post to go and I am done. Stay tuned for one last post from the streets of Newport!
